European Day of Languages
Last Friday, our school celebrated European Day of Languages by enjoying Irish, French and Italian.
Primary 5, 6 and 7 were delighted to welcome Signore Beretta, our P5 pupil, Michael’s father to the class. The children enjoyed learning songs, rhymes and phrases with him. Bravi! 🇮🇹
Primary 3 and 4 along with Bn. Uí hÉimhín and in conjunction with Gael Linn learnt a song about Gráinne Mhaol, a fearless Irish pirate from County Mayo, who was born in 1530. They also recorded Teidí Beag Álainn and Is Mise an Tiomanaí Traenach. Maith sibh! 🇮🇪
Reception, Primary 1 and 2 learnt how to count to ten in French and performed Frère Jaques. For break they enjoyed French treats of pain au chocolate and brioche. Bravo! 🇨🇵
It was a great opportunity to appreciate our European languages and celebrate the uniqueness of our school.
