Hello everyone, we are thrilled you have come to explore the amazing Reception/Primary One class.

I am delighted to join the wonderful Killowen Primary School and look forward to working with the young pupils as they begin their journey in Killowen.

In Literacy, the children are beginning to read and write by learning the different sounds. They are developing their knowledge and understanding of different areas of Numeracy including Number, Measure and Shape and Space. They are also becoming more familiar with the World Around Us through topics that interest the pupils. The curriculum is accessed through a fun and multi-sensory approach as we hope all children develop a love for learning. The pupils also have access to amazing indoor and outdoor play facilities which enhances their natural curiosity and develops their communication skills as they work with one another.

We will continue to capture all the learning and fun that is taking place so be sure to check it out!

Miss Larkin
