Outdoor Learning in P3/4
As part of P3/4’s new World Around Us topic on Minibeasts, they enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of outdoor learning in the sunshine.
The children explored our school grounds in search of different minibeasts and their habitats. They used magnifying glasses, petri dishes and tweezers to investigate. The children looked carefully under logs, in the grass and among the plants to discover a variety of tiny creatures.
We found several fascinating minibeasts including worms, spiders, beetles, woodlice and slugs. The pupils enjoyed observing them closely, discussing their features and thinking about where they live and why these habitats suit them.
It was fantastic to see the children working together and showing great care for the minibeasts.
