Outdoor Learning
16th Oct 2025
This week our P3 and P4 pupils took their Numercy outdoors to explore measuring in centimetres! Using rulers, the children worked to find and measure objects around our school.
From comparing the length of leaves and twigs, to checking which stick was the longest, pupils discovered how Maths helps us describe and compare the world around us. They used their practical measuring skills, read scales carefully and recorded their results using centimetres
The children were engaged, using teamwork, problem-solving and communication skills while applying mathematical thinking in a fun and practical way.
