Last week, as part of their space topic, P6/P7 had fun observing the phases of the Moon and learning why our view of the Moon is different every night. They experimented using a lamp and bauble which acted as the sun and the Moon. They observed how the sun's reflection on the Moon changes as the Moon orbits the Earth and this affects how the Moon looks from our position on Earth. They identified each phase and learned the different names used.
