Play Experiences in the Foundation Stage

18th Jun 2026

Our Foundation Stage pupils have been developing a wide range of skills through play experiences this term. The children have enjoyed learning to sew, carefully improving their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. They also explored felting, discovering how wool can be shaped and transformed through water and movement. Outdoors, the children have taken part in exciting construction projects, working together to build, design and problem solve. Through active play, climbing, balancing and movement the children have developed their gross motor skills.

It has been a wonderful term full of hands on learning. We are so proud of the children! 🌿
