After enjoying 'The Foxes' Socks' as part of our topic-based literacy, we had a go at a little measuring investigation using ... SOCKS!
We measured the people in our small groups to see who was the longest from head to toe and had to put them in order.
We discovered something interesting when we saw the results all together and realised that Fionna was 20 socks long and Aodhan was 4 - but they're nearly the same height!! So we checked our answers to make sure we had measured carefully and they were the same. Eventually, we realised that the socks Fionna's team were using to measure were MUCH smaller than the socks the rest of the class were using. THAT'S why it took so many to measure her team!
What an investigation!
