As part of our Ancient Egypt topic, P.4/5 have been exploring how the Egyptians used a special form of writing called hieroglyphs that uses pictures instead of letters. We decided to make our own caratouche with our names in hieroglyphs. To make our caratouche look more ancient we stained our white paper and used paint pens for writing in hieroglyphs to make our names stand out!
